What You Can Do to Help

The Conway County School Counts! Foundation sponsors a permanently endowed scholarship fund designated to provide financial support to graduates of high schools in Conway County who meet the “School Counts!” criteria and plan to attend the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. The scholarship is designed to guarantee that each School Counts! graduate has at least $1,000 available per semester renewable for up to four semesters to apply toward tuition and fees at UACCM. Proceeds from the endowed scholarship fund are awarded to students who do not have at least $1,000 in other scholarships or grants. Students who have at least $1,000 in financial aid may receive up to a $250 book stipend as funds are available.

The endowed scholarship fund is managed by the Arkansas Community Foundation, Inc. The financial goal of the School Counts! initiative is to sustain a permanent endowment fund to award scholarships. As of December 2014, the permanent endowment fund had a value of over $1,000,000.

You should be aware of the following:

  • Donations to the scholarship endowment fund should be made to the “Conway County School Counts! Foundation”. The Conway County School Counts! Foundation has been designated as exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the foundation are deductible under section 170 of the Code as may be allowed by law.
  • Donations may be made to the permanently endowed fund or to the Foundation’s operating fund. Donations to the scholarship fund are deposited with the Arkansas Community Foundation. The ARCF, acting as the trustee of these funds, is responsible for appropriate investment of the fund and the authorized distribution of the fund’s earnings to the Foundation for scholarships to eligible students.
  • Donations should be mailed to the Foundation at the following address:
