What You Can Do to Help

The Conway County School Counts! Foundation has established an endowed fund with the Arkansas Community Foundation to provide financial support to students of high schools in Conway County who meet the School Counts! criteria and plan to attend the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. The financial assistance is designed to guarantee that each eligible School Counts! graduate has at least $1,000 available per semester, renewable for up to four semesters, to apply toward tuition and fees at UACCM. This financial assistance comes from income generated by the endowment fund. Students who do not have at least $1,000 in other scholarships or grants may be eligible for the School Counts! award. Students who have at least $1,000 in financial aid may receive up to $250 in textbook assistance instead. Students with 95% attendance may be eligible for up to $1,500 in tuition assistance, provided they do not have other grants or scholarships.

The endowment fund is managed by the Arkansas Community Foundation. A goal of the School Counts! initiative is to sustain a permanent endowment to support eligible Conway County students. The School Counts! Foundation Board has approved providing financial support to high school juniors and seniors who are concurrently enrolled in classes at UACCM. In order to support this effort, the School Counts! Board, in cooperation with the Leadership Conway County class of 2018, has embarked on a capital campaign to raise an additional $350,000 for the endowment fund.
